Oh So Protective One - Girls
Clockwork from left: Carmen Miranda, bikini and palm print dress by Gorman, wedges by Tony Bianco, S/S 2012 'Les Vacances' lookbook by Family Affairs, Kirstin Dunst in Boy by Band of Outsiders 2011 lookbook, Arabella Ramsay Hibiscus dress, Marc Jacobs bow sandals, Wrangler Elson dress from General Pants, Kate Spade Scout satchels, Donald Glover and Leslie Mann in Band of Outsiders lookbook, Chip Chop! watermelon straw clutch.
On my hunt list for summer:
- A pair of leather huarache sandals
- A pair of glitter jelly sandals like these (anybody know where I could get them??)
- A crepe hawaiian print shirt
- A pair of high waisted red shorts
- A pair of white Converse/tennis shoes
- Some sort of lightweight summer jacket that can be thrown over everything (any suggestions?) or maybe just a nice fitting light wool navy blazer
- An ivory/navy/red tennis sweater a la StrangerSensibilities
Really vibing on classic American resort wear, tropical prints, especially printed linens, bold neon coloured accessories and southern California. Plenty of local Aussie designers have been going tropical in their summer collections like Limedrop - see the photos from their pop up store in Sydney to launch their 'Calypso' collection at FashionHayley's blog, Secret Squirrel featured a digital floral silk in their current 'Botanica' collection, and Dress Up by Stephanie Downey's SS 11/12 collection featured a dress, culottes and trousers in a muted begonia pattern. Even Sportsgirl's season's offerings show a return to 'Super Nature'!

Gorgeous moodbood.
Crushing on the Gorman bikini and Kate Spade clutches. Need!
Those jelly sandals are by Isabella Capeto for Melissa shoes. But you can buy silver/gold glittery ones from here http://www.lameduse.com/
